A regular session of the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners is held Wednesday, November 9, 1994, at seven thirty o’clock p.m. in the City Council Chamber, City Hall, Pawtucket, RI. All the Members are present and Chairman Barry presides.

 

The reading of the records of October 19, 1994, is dispensed with and the Records are approved as prepared by the Clerk.

A.        Doors are kept closed at all times.

B.         One (1) police detail must be provided on the night (s) or day (s) of entertainment. If a police detail is not secured on a day or night of entertainment then the entertainment must be canceled by owner or someone responsible for the Dublin Inn.

2.         Doors will be kept closed at all times.

3.         No motor cycles will be parked on the sidewalk on either Dean Street or Columbus Avenue.

4.         No outside drinking in fenced in area or entire parking lot at any time.

5.         Evacuate patrons in parking lot at closing time - No Loitering.

6.         Each morning or afternoon, the owner or manager is to walk around the establishment and surrounding homes and pick up beer bottles.

7.         No more than 76 people in the building, per order of the Fire Chief.

8.         No longer will there be any Wednesday specials or any other specials on any nights, per State law Chapter 7, Section 3-7-26.

1.         Thursday - Sunday must close at Midnight.

DETAILED OFFICERS FOR FRIDAY EVENINGS HAS BEEN CANCELLED, AND THE HOURS FOR DETAILED OFFICERS ON SATURDAY AND SUNDAY EVENINGS CHANGE TO 9:30 PM - 1:30 PM.

 

JUDGE KELLEY’S INC., D/B/A KELLEY’S CORNER PUB, 584 SMITHFIELD AVENUE GRANTED AS PER LIQUOR CONTROL ADMINISTRATOR WITH THE FOLLOWING STIPULATIONS:

 

1.         A duty officer shall be hired and paid by the license holder to patrol the parking area surrounding Kelley’s Corner Pub on every Friday and Saturday night, and any nights with Specials.

2.         All persons who have not reached their twenty-first birthday are prohibited from Kelley’s Corner Pub.

3.         A manager and/or owner Mr. William R. Kelley, Jr. shall be on the premises during operating hours.

4.         In addition to the manager and / or owner, a bartender shall be on duty during the hours of operation.

5.         The kitchen shall not be open unless a cook is on duty. The manager, owner, and/or bartender shall not do “double duty.”

6.         All disturbances, no matter how insignificant shall be reported to the police, IMMEDIATELY.

 

S & L INC. D/B/A CAFE ORDWAY, 3 ORDWAY

1.         No Entertainment

 

SULLY’S PUB INC. 617-627 PROSPECT STREET & 10 FORTIN AVENUE

 

1.         Any violation of closing time will result in the licensee appearing before the City Council.

2.         Noise of any kind be confined to the inside of the licensed premises.

3.         Licensee and agent shall police the immediate area for trash on a regular basis - particularly the dumpster area.

4.         Local ordinances dealing with disturbance of the peace be strictly enforced with regards to the noise from the establishment itself and any of its patrons.

5.         Board of License Commissioners be notified of any infractions of the law upon their occurrence.

 

TWO GUYS INC. D/B/A BOB’S LOUNGE, 214 BROAD STREET

 

The Council reminds the applicant of its previous warning placed on the Liquor License resulting from a FORMAL HEARING which states that “STERNER ACTIONS AGAINST THIS LICENSE WILL BE TAKEN IMMEDIATELY IF THE ACTIVITIES WHICH CAUSED THE HEARING REOCCUR.”

 

CLASS D (FIRST CLASS)

 

CAPTAIN ELWOOD J. EUART V.F.W. POST #602, 55 Overland Ave (Stipulation imposed on 9/8/93)

 

1.         No regular hours for serving alcohol

2.         Alcohol may be served only at club activities

1.         “Last Call” be held at the establishment at 12:30 AM and the establishment be cleared of patrons by 1:00 AM.

2.         The licensee is reminded that no drinking is allowed outside the establishment.

 

FURTHER STIPULATION 6/9/93

 

PER LIQUOR CONTROL DECISION, INSTRUCTING THE DANTE CLUB TO PROVIDE SECURITY (CAN HIRE A PRIVATE SECURITY SERVICE) FOR ANY AND ALL SPECIAL FUNCTIONS AND ALSO ON EVERY SATURDAY NIGHT FROM 9 PM UNTIL CLOSING.

 

ADDITIONAL STIPULATIONS PER BOARD OF LICENSE COMMISSIONERS 5/25/94

 

1.         Off duty police officer shall be hired every Saturday, between the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m. and at all times when there is entertainment.

2.         Must have an entertainment license for ALL Club functions.

3.         Officer of Club must be present at ALL functions.

 

HOWARD ROGERS POST #25 AMERICAN LEGION (HOWARD-ROGERS HOLDING CORP. INC.), 25 MCCALLUM AVE. GRANTED 11/20/91 WITH FOLLOWING STIPULATIONS:

 

1.         No alcohol shall be served after 12:30.

2.         There shall be a parking lot attendant at closing to all functions.

3.         There shall be a yearly meeting with residents within 30 days after the election of officers.

 

Upon Motion made by Councilor Bray, seconded by Councilor Kinder, the meeting is adjourned at seven forty-one o’clock p.m.
