Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners.

April 6, 1994.

 

A regular session of the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners is held Wednesday, April 6, 1994, at seven forty-one o’clock p.m. in the City Council Chamber, City Hall, Pawtucket, RI. All the Members are present except Councilor Rabbitt and Chairman Barry presides.

 

The reading of the Records of March 23, 1994, is dispensed with and the Records are approved as prepared by the Clerk.

 

Formal Hearing regarding the Class B (Victualer) liquor license of C.C. & D.D. Inc., d/b/a Dazzle’s, 602 Smithfield Avenue is taken up:

 

Representing C.C. & D.D. Inc., is Jonathan Oster, Attorney, 936 Smithfield Avenue, Lincoln, RI.

 

Mr. Oster states that the applicant is taking steps to comply with the Consent Order.

 

Mr. Oster states that the latest police report was a misunderstanding and that there were no violations of law.

 

Mr. Oster states that the applicant is having discussions with a potential purchaser; however, there are no details in writing. There have been ads in the newspapers, as well as discussions with brokers and potential purchasers. Mr. Oster states that brokers want exclusive arrangements, which is why no deal has been made with a broker.

 

There are no other speakers.

 

The Hearing is closed.

 

Upon Motion made by Councilor Virier, seconded by Councilor Kinder, and with the unanimous consent of the Council, the “Consent Agreement” between the City Council, sitting as the Board of License Commissioners, and C.C. & D.D. Inc. d/b/a Dazzle’s, 602 Smithfield Avenue, is extended for an additional 60 days.

With majority consent of the Council, Councilor Vieira introduces the following communication:

 

Communication from Christopher E. Fay, Assistant City Solicitor, regarding a Stay issued to Dazzle’s, pending an Appeal Hearing of the Liquor Control Administrator’s decision.

 

Upon Motion made by Councilor Vieira, seconded by Councilor Kinder, the following Communication is READ AND ORDERED FILED:
