A regular session of the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners is held Wednesday, July 21, 1993, at eight thirty-five o’clock p.m. in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, Pawtucket, RI. All the Members are present and Chairman Barry presides.
The reading of the Records of July 7, 1993, is dispensed with and the Records are approved as prepared by the Clerk.
Communication from Captain Patrick McConaghy, submitting police printout of activities at the Benefit Street Pub Inc., 433 1/2 Benefit Street is READ AND ORDERED FILED.
THE FOLLOWING APPLICATION FOR LICENSE TRANSFER WAS LAID ON THE TABLE AT THE MEETING HELD JULY 7, 1993, AND IS AGAIN UP:
CLASS B (Victualer) - REQUESTING CHANGE FROM CLASS C LIQUOR LICENSE

Councilor Moran recalls the applicant, Lisa Moreau, 30 Forest View Drive, Cumberland, RI, President of the Benefit Street Pub.
Ms. Moreau states that she has met with the neighbors and will take care of the problems discussed with the neighbors.
Councilor Moran asks Ms. Moreau if the following Stipulations to the granting of this license would be agreeable:
1. Keep front door closed at all times;
2. Sunday closing hours will be 12 Midnight, except for the 3-day Weekends; i.e., Labor Day, Columbus Day, and Memorial Day Weekends;
3. Establishment shall not be open on Sundays during July and August.
Ms. Moreau agrees to the Stipulations.
Upon Motion made by Councilor Moran, seconded by Councilors Kinder and Calista, the following license is GRANTED on a unanimous voice vote, with STIPULATIONS, and Subject to the payment and release of all outstanding matters:

STIPULATIONS:

Communication from John T. Gannon, City Solicitor, regarding the selling of liquor licenses is READ AND ORDERED FILED.
Communication from Lucien Pine, Senior Vice Commander, Kennedy Collins American Legion Post No. 76, 82-84 Pawtucket Avenue, requesting permission to build an outside deck at the Post is taken up:
President Barry questions Mr. Pine as to whether the neighbors have been informed about the intention to build an outside deck as the Post.
Mr. Pine states that he has spoken to the neighbors and they have no problems with building a deck.
Mr. Pine also states that there will be no outside speakers and the size of the deck is only 14’ x 24’.
Upon Motion made by Councilor Vieira, seconded by Councilor Kinder, the following Communication is Read and ordered Filed:

REQUEST TO BUILD AN OUTSIDE DECK AT THE POST IS GRANTED ON A UNANIMOUS VOICE VOTE.
THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR RABBITT.
With majority consent of the Council, the following Motion made by Councilor Rabbitt, seconded by Councilor Kinder is passed on a unanimous voice vote:
The Clerk is instructed to send a Communication to Jack Gannon, City Solicitor, requesting an update on the status of the LaVault’s Restaurant Case.
Upon Motion made by Councilor Vieira, seconded by Councilor Kinder the meeting is adjourned at eight forty-five o’clock p.m.
