A regular session of the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners is held Wednesday, January 6, 1993, at eight twelve o’clock p.m. All the members are present except Councilor Vieira and Chairman Barry presides.
The reading of the records of December 18, 1992, is dispensed with and the records are approved as prepared by the Clerk.
Communication from Chief of Police Richard E. DeLyon regarding a felonious assault committed at Club Macondo, 242 Middle Street is READ AND ORDERED FILED.
Summons issued to Kenneth L. Clauson, President, K.L.C. Associates Inc. d/b/a Macondo, 242 Middle Street, requesting that he appear at a Formal Hearing regarding an incident at the Class B (Victualer) liquor license establishment is READ AND ORDERED FILED.

Upon Motion made by Councilor Moran, seconded by Councilor Clement, and with the unanimous consent of the Council, the Class B (Victualer) Liquor License of K.L.C. Associates, Inc., d/b/a Macondo, 242 Middle Street, is SUSPENDED FOR A PERIOD OF THIRTY (30) DAYS BEGINNING AT 12:01 A.M. ON JANUARY 8, 1993, FOR THE FOLLOWING REASONS:
1. Violation of Stipulations placed on liquor license, specifically failure to have a detail officer on duty.
2. Failure to act in a prudent manner by not contacting the police department after the assault on December 31, 1992.

Upon Motion made by Councilor Doyle, seconded by Councilor Calista, and with the unanimous consent of the Council, the STIPULATIONS PLACED ON CLASS B (VICTUALER) LIQUOR LICENSE OF VOUTENA INC. D/B/A BOOTLEGGER’S SALOON, 852-856 NEWPORT AVENUE ARE REMOVED.
MR. KARAMANOLIS IS REQUESTED TO MEET WITH THE ABUTTERS ON WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 20, 1993. THE RESULTS OF THIS MEETING WILL BE DISCUSSED AT THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE PAWTUCKET BOARD OF LICENSE COMMISSIONERS ON JANUARY 20, 1993.

Petition of the Colombian American Association, Inc., requesting an extension of closing time until 3:00 a.m. at the Colombian Folk Festival to be held at Boomer’s Sports Bar & Comedy Club, 327 Barton Street, on the following Saturdays: January 9, 16, 23, 30, 1993; February 6, 13, 20, 27, 1993; March 6, 13, 1993.
Upon Motion made by Councilor Kinder, seconded by Councilor Moran the Petition of the Colombian American Association, Inc., requesting an extension of closing time until 3:00 a.m. at the Colombian Folk Festival to be held at Boomer’s Sports Bar & Comedy Club, 327 Barton Street, on the following Saturdays: January 9, 16, 23, 30, 1993; February 6, 13, 20, 27, 1993; March 6, 13, 1993, is DENIED.
Permission is approved to extend the closing time until 2:00 a.m.; provided, however, that no alcoholic beverages may be served after the legal closing hour of 1:00 a.m. and WITH THE STIPULATION THAT ONE ADDITIONAL DETAIL OFFICER BE HIRED.

Councilor Rabbitt states for the Record that based on the Decision regarding Voutena, Inc., the liquor license of Snicker’s Inc. d/b/a LaVault’s Restaurant, 55 Memorial Drive is also renewed.
