A regular session of the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners is held Wednesday, December 8, 1993, at seven thirty-two o’clock p.m. in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, Pawtucket, RI. All the Members are present except Councilors Doyle and Kinder; President Barry presides.
The reading of the Records of November 23, 1993, is dispensed with and the Records are approved as prepared by the Clerk.
Claim of Arcaro, Belilove and Kolodney, Attorneys at Law, objecting to the Class A liquor license transfer of Joseph Feriera d/b/a Candy’s Liquors, 886 Mineral Spring Avenue to City Liquors, Inc., in the total amount of $3,270.19 is READ AND ORDERED FILED.
A Public Hearing is held on the following application for license advertised for this time:

(Transfer from Joseph Feriera d/b/a Candy’s Liquor Store)
Speaking in favor is Steve DaSilva, 8 Brailey St., Cumberland, RI.
Mr. DaSilva states that he will be partners with his father. They will continue the same type of business as now. They have no experience in the liquor business, but his father owns a textile business.

Speaking in favor is John Neary, Attorney, 103 Cottage Street, Pawtucket, RI, representing the applicant.
Mr. Neary states that a full menu is provided in a controlled environment. The transfer is a result of negotiations to purchase equipment, not to purchase the license.
Speaking in favor is Hugo Sepulveda, 23 Winthrop Avenue, Providence, RI.
Mr. Sepulveda states that he is the principal in the business. He states that he has met with the neighbors. He will continue with the present hours of operation. He states business is good and he expects it to improve with a liquor license.
Speaking in favor is Thomas McGeeney, 27 Garden Street, Pawtucket, RI.
Mr. McGeeney states that he is in favor of this transfer and he wants Mr. Sepulveda to run a decent business.
Speaking in favor is Charles Kirwin, 26 Garden Street, Pawtucket, RI.
Mr. Kirwin states that he has been impressed with Mr. Sepulveda; however, he is concerned about the closing time.

Mr. Woodcock states that he has a partner in this business and they are planning to make upgrades to the business. He states that they will open a small kitchen to serve lunches. The hours will be 11 AM until 1:00 AM.
He also states that he will get TIPS certified.
