A regular session of the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners is held Wednesday, April 21, 1993, at seven fifty-eight o’clock p.m. in the City Council Chamber, City Hall, Pawtucket, RI. All the Members are present except Councilor Rabbitt and Chairman Barry presides.
The reading of the Records of April 7, 1993, is dispensed with and the Records are approved as prepared by the Clerk.
Copy of Summons to C.C. & D.D. Inc., d/b/a Dazzle’s, 602 Smithfield Avenue requesting owners to attend a Formal Hearing scheduled for April 21, 1993, is READ AND ORDERED FILED.
Memorandum from Chief of Police Richard E. DeLyon, regarding additional incident at Dazzle’s, 602 Smithfield Avenue, which occurred on April 12, 1993, is READ AND ORDERED FILED.

THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR VIEIRA.
Upon Motion made by Councilor Vieira, seconded by Councilor Kinder, the owners of Dazzle’s are fined $250 for violation of “closing hours” and the Clerk is instructed to send a “LETTER OF WARNING” that if any further violations occur at this establishment the Council will be forced to take stronger action.
A Public Hearing is held on the following application for license advertised for this time:

Speaking in favor and representing applicant is Attorney William J. Conley, 670 Willett Avenue, East Providence, RI.
Applicant, David Woodman, 175 Maureen Circle, Mapleville, RI.
Mr. Woodman states that he is the President of Dexter Warehouse Liquors, Inc., and has held a Class A liquor license in Pawtucket for nine years. He states that he wants to move a couple of hundred feet, in the same lot, and there will be no change to the operation of his business.
Speaking in opposition is Dalcina Craveiro, 255 Shawmut Ave., Central Falls, RI.
Ms. Craveiro states that there is one liquor store in the area already. She owns two properties on Barton Street, and this license if approved, will be too close to the other one.
Speaking in opposition is Alberto Villada, 231 Barton Street, Pawtucket, RI.
Mr. Villada lives on the corner of Barton Street near the Donut Shop. He states that there are enough problems in this neighborhood already, and another liquor store will draw more people to the area.
Speaking in opposition is Olimpio Menezes, 225 Barton Street, Pawtucket, RI.
Mr. Menezes states that he owns Portugalia Liquors and if this store moves to 264 Barton Street it will be too close to his store.
There are no other speakers.
