June 24, 1992.
A regular session of the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners is held Wednesday, June 24, 1992, at eight-two o’clock p.m. All the members are present except Councilor Rabbitt and Chairman Barry presides.
The reading the records of June 10, 1992, is dispensed with and the records are approved as prepared by the Clerk.
Communication from Kate Racine, Liquor Control Administrator, regarding a workshop/symposium for October 1, 1992 IS READ AND ORDERED FILED.
THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR CLEMENT.
With majority consent of the Council, the following Motion made by Councilor Clement, seconded by Councilor Kinder, is passed on a unanimous voice vote:
The Clerk or Deputy Clerk is instructed to attend the workshop/symposium for October 1, 1992.

*STIPULATIONS IMPOSED AT THE DECEMBER 19, 1990, MEETING
1. Mr. Rocchio or his son will be in attendance and run the establishment while it is open.
2. That there are 2 detail officers on duty, and a parking lot attendant at all times, ***WHEN CLUB METRO IS BEING USED. ***
3. That for each additional 100 persons over two hundred in attendance there will be an additional police officer on duty.
Speaking in favor is Michael Devane, Attorney, 74-76 East Street. Mr. Devane is representing the applicant.
Mr. Devane states that Ms. Zulleta, President of The Latin American Association has had a BCI check and it came back with no criminal record.
Councilor Vieira states that he has spoken with Kate Racine, Liquor Control Administrator, and she confirmed that liquor can be served in the bar and in the restaurant.
Councilor Vieira also states that State Law prohibits the opening of a liquor license establishment within 200 feet of a House of Worship and that there are two Houses of Worship within 200 feet of this establishment.
Councilor Vieira continues that both Kate Racine and John Gannon, City Solicitor, have stated that a transfer of a license means a new licensee and cannot be within 200 feet of a House of Worship.
There are no other speakers.
The hearing is closed.
Upon Motion made by Councilor Vieira, seconded by Councilor Clement, the following application for license is DENIED BASED ON THE FACT THAT IT IS WITHIN 200 FEET OF A HOUSE OF WORSHIP, on a roll call vote as follows:
Ayes - Councilors Bray, Calista, Clement, Kinder, Moran, Vieira.
Noes - 0
CHAIRPERSON BARRY RETURNS TO THE COUNCIL CHAMBER, AND AGAIN PRESIDES.
COUNCILOR DOYLE RETURNS AT 8:15 PM.
The following request was LAID ON THE TABLE at the meeting of June 10, 1992, AND IS AGAIN TAKEN UP AT THIS TIME AND IS APPROVED PENDING THE APPROVAL OF FRANK RENDINE, DIRECTOR OF ZONING AND CODE ENFORCEMENT:
