A regular session of the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners is held Wednesday, December 9, 1992, at eight eighteen o’clock p.m. All the members are present and Chairman Barry presides.
The reading of the records of November 25, 1992, is dispensed with and the records are approved as prepared by the Clerk.
Communication from Christopher Fay, Assistant City Solicitor, to Richard J. Goldstein, City Clerk, regarding El Nido Ltd. is READ AND ORDERED FILED.
Communication from Richard J. Goldstein, City Clerk to Councilor Moran, regarding Class C Liquor License Todd’s Pub Inc. 735 Broadway is READ AND ORDERED FILED.
Communications from Frank Rendine, Director of Zoning and Code Enforcement, to the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners, regarding Snicker’s Inc. d/b/a Lavault’s Restaurant, 55 Memorial Dr are READ AND ORDERED FILED.

With majority consent of the Council, Councilor Doyle introduces the following communication:

Upon Motion made by Councilor Doyle, seconded by Councilor Calista, the following communication is READ AND ORDERED FILED:

With majority consent of the Council, the following Motion made by Councilor Doyle seconded by Councilor Calista, is passed on a unanimous voice vote:
The Clerk is instructed to send a letter to Kate Racine, Liquor Control Administrator, once again, regarding the Flyer for “Jason’s Restaurant/Jason’s Dance Club.”
The Council refers to the response by Mr. Paul Foster and wishes to clarify the matter. There has not been a change in ownership at Voutena’s Inc d/b/a Bootlegger’s. The Council is trying to find out what the legal ramifications of circulating a flyer indicating that a change of ownership has taken place, when in fact it has not.
THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR CALISTA.
With majority consent of the Council, the following Motion made by Councilor Calista, seconded by Councilor Doyle, is passed on a unanimous voice vote:
The Clerk is instructed to send a communication to George Karamanolis, President of Voutena Inc., asking that he get together with Frank Balkum and Robert Gendreau to try to come to some agreement on the continued operation of this establishment. The Council is requesting that all parties get together so that a compromise may be reached so that the problems which have existed over the years will no longer be occurring.
Communication from Rodrigo Vasquez, requesting an extension of hours from 1:00 AM to 3:00 AM on DVK Enterprises Inc. d/b/a Boomers Sports Bar and Comedy Club, 327 Barton St. LIC#53 is READ AND ORDERED FILED AND THE REQUEST FOR EXTENDED HOURS IS APPROVED WITH THE STIPULATION THAT ONE ADDITIONAL POLICE OFFICER BE HIRED FOR THIS EVENT.
*STIPULATIONS PLACED ON THE FOLLOWING LIQUOR LICENSE

1. Friday and Saturday evenings there will be a detail officer until 2 AM in the parking lot.
2. The Council wants a report from the neighbors on November 6, and November 20.
3. The cooperation from Constantine’s and Mr. Balkum will continue.
4. Constantine’s will be changed into a restaurant January, 1992.
5. Constantine’s will serve more food to be in compliance with the Class B Victualer license.
Upon Motion made by Councilor Vieira, seconded by Councilor Kinder, the meeting is adjourned at eight fifty o’clock p.m.
