A regular session of the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners is held Wednesday, August 5, 1992, at eight four o’clock p.m. All the members are present and Chairman Barry presides.
The reading of the records of July 22, 1992, is dispensed with and the records are approved as prepared by the Clerk.
Communication from John Gannon, City Solicitor, submitting the decision of the Liquor Control Administrator, regarding El Nido, Ltd. Inc., is READ AND ORDERED FILED.
THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR VIEIRA.
With majority consent of the Council, the following Motion made by Councilor Vieira, seconded by Councilors Kinder, Calista, and Clement is passed on a unanimous voice vote:
The Clerk is instructed to send a communication to the Engineering Department requesting that the distance be measured from El Nido, Ltd., Inc., to the Church on Dexter Street, to determine if the liquor establishment is located within 200’ of a House of Worship. A response is requested in time for the August 19, 1992, meeting.
Communication from Kate Racine, Liquor Control Administrator, regarding Rhode Island General Laws stating “ALL CLASS B LICENSES MUST HAVE A KITCHEN” is READ AND ORDERED FILED.

With majority consent of the Council, the following Motion made by Councilor Clement, seconded by Councilor Moran is passed on a unanimous voice vote:
The Clerk is instructed to send a communication to Frank Rendine, Director of Zoning and Code Enforcement and to Peter O’Neill, Fire Prevention Officer, requesting that they each conduct inspections of all Class B liquor establishments prior to renewal on December 1, 1992.

With majority consent of the Council, the following Motion made by Councilor Clement, seconded by Councilor Moran is passed on a unanimous voice vote:
The Clerk is instructed to send a communication to all holders of Class B Victualer liquor licenses enclosing a copy of the letter from Kate Racine, Liquor Control Administrator, which states the requirements for Class B-V liquor licenses.
