July 24, 1991

 

A regular session of the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners is held Wednesday, July 24, 1991, at seven forty-seven o’clock p.m. All the members are present and Chairman Houle presides.

 

The reading the records of July 10, 1991, is dispensed with and the records are approved as prepared by the Clerk.

 

The following license is GRANTED on a voice vote WITH FOLLOWING STIPULATIONS:

 

STIPULATIONS:

 

1.         One side parking only on Williston Way.

 

2.         Responsible to have either the detail police officer, or the auxiliary police enforce one side parking on Willistion Way EVERY 15 Min.

 

Councilman Calista Abstains based on his statement that “I am a parishioner although not an officer.” (Report Filed)

 

Councilman Rabbitt Abstains based on his statement that “I am a parishioner only not an officer.” (Report Filed)

 

CLASS F (Beer & Wine)

 

St. Teresa’s Church, to serve Beer & Wine at an Annual Parish Carnival, at 358 Newport Ave. church grounds, on Friday Sept. 13, 1991 from 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm., Saturday Sept. 14, 1991 from 11:00 pm - 10:00 pm., Sunday Sept. 15, 1991 from 12:30 pm - 6:00 pm. LIC#15

 

The Following Licenses are GRANTED on a unanimous voice vote:

 

Pawtucket Octoberfest Committee Inc., to serve Beer & Wine at an Octoberfest Festival, at Roosevelt Ave./Slater Mill Parking Lot/Downtown Area, on Saturday October 5, and Sunday October 6, 1991, from 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM. LIC#16

 

St. Anthony’s Church, to serve Beer & Wine at a Church Festival, at 27 Forest Ave. PARKING LOT, on Wednesday August 28, Thursday August 29, Friday August 30, 1991, from 6:00 pm -10:00 pm, Saturday August 31, 1991, from 6:00 pm - 12:00 midnight, Sunday Sept. 1 1991, from 9:00 AM -10:00 PM. LIC#17

 

The request of Frederick A. Duffy owner of FAD Food Enterprises, Ltd. d/b/a Dublin Inn. 214-216 Columbus Ave. for reconsideration of the existing stipulations on the Liquor License is taken up:

 

THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILMAN RABBITT.

 

With majority consent of the Council, upon Motion by Councilman Rabbitt, seconded by Councilman Calista, the request of the Dublin Inn to have a Hawaiian Pig Roast on August 17, 1991, is approved on a unanimous voice vote. This shall take place in the fenced in area ONLY and is allowed to stay open until 12 midnight.

 

The remainder of the Stipulations requested to be reconsidered is Laid on the Table until August 21, 1991.

 

Upon Motion made by Councilman Barry, seconded by Councilman Kinder, the meeting is adjourned at nine fifty o’clock p.m.
