A regular session of the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners is held Wednesday, April 10, 1991, at seven forty-eight o’clock p.m. All the members are present except Councilman Robert Lynch, and Chairman Houle presides.
The reading of the records of March 20, 1991, is dispensed with and the records are approved as prepared by the Clerk.
Communications from Michael F. McCann, Legal Counsel, Liquor Control Administration, setting date for hearing in the matter of the revocations of the liquor licenses of Jan’s Place and the Lily Social Club ARE READ AND ORDERED FILED.
Liquor Control Administration submitting copy of Stay and Petition for Appeal and Motion for Stay of Execution in the matter of Jan’s Place and the Lily Social Club ARE READ AND ORDERED FILED.
THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILMAN RABBITT.
With majority consent of the Council, the following Motion made by Councilman Rabbitt seconded by Councilman Barry is passed on a unanimous voice vote:
The Clerk is instructed to request that the Legal Department keep the Board informed on all activities regarding Jan’s Place, the Lily Social Club, and LaVault’s.
Order from Rhode Island Liquor Control Administrator in the matter of the class D Liquor License of Dante Alighieri Social Club, Matter remanded back to Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners for reconsideration of the revocation IS READ AND ORDERED FILED.

With majority consent of the Council, the following Motion made by Councilman Barry seconded by Councilman Kinder, is passed on a unanimous voice vote:
The Clerk is instructed to notify the attorney for the Dante Alighieri Social Club informing him of the Club’s responsibility to notify the Board of License Commissioners of any changes of their officers, prior to any other action on their license by the Board.
The following licenses are denied on a unanimous voice vote:
CLASS F (Beer & Wine)
Cape Verdean Cultural Association, to serve Beer & Wine at a Dinner/Dance for members at 44 West Ave., on Saturday April 27, 1991 from 9 PM - 1 AM.
Cape Verdean Cultural Association, to serve Beer & Wine at a fund raiser Dance for Soccer League at 44 West Ave., on Saturday May 18, 1991 from 10 PM - 1 AM.
The following license is GRANTED on a unanimous voice vote:
GTE Employees Association, to serve Beer & Wine at an annual Family Picnic at Slater Park, on Saturday August 3, 1991, at 12:00 - 8:00 P.M. LIC#7
Upon Motion made by Councilman Barry, seconded by Councilman Kinder, the meeting is adjourned at seven fifty-five o’clock p.m.
