Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners.

May 9, 1990.

 

A regular session of the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners is held Wednesday, May 9, 1990, at eleven twenty o’clock p.m. All the members are present and Chairman Houle presides.

 

The reading of the records of April 19, 25, 1990, are dispensed with and the records are approved as prepared by the Clerk.

 

Communication from Gerald J. Pouliot, Assistant City Solicitor, enclosing the decision of the Liquor Control Administrator regarding the Lopes Liquor License transfer. (Reversing the decision of the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners,) is READ AND ORDERED FILED.

 

THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILMAN WILLIAM LYNCH.

 

With majority consent of the Council, the following Motion made by Councilman William Lynch, seconded by Councilman Doyle is passed on a unanimous voice vote, Councilman Calista abstains from voting:

 

The Clerk is instructed to send a communication to Fred E. Joslyn, Jr., City Solicitor, requesting that he appeal the decision of the Liquor Control Administrator in the Lopes Liquors Case.

 

Communication from Frank R. Balkum to James Karamanolis - Voutena Inc d/b/a Constantine’s, regarding an attendant at the Pizza Palace Parking Lot is READ AND ORDERED FILED.

 

The following application for license is approved on a unanimous voice vote. Councilman William Lynch votes against this application:

 

CLASS F (Beer & Wine)

 

Rick’s 35 Mens Club & Rick’s Pub 36 Ladies Club, for license to sell beer & wine at family picnic at Slater Park on Sunday, August 12, 1990, from 12 Noon until 5 PM. LIC #9.

 

Upon Motion made by Councilman Barry, seconded by Councilman Kinder, the meeting is adjourned at eleven thirty-seven o’clock p.m.
