A regular session of the Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners is held Wednesday, April 25, 1990, at eight ten o’clock p.m. All the members are present except Councilman Vieira, and Chairman Houle presides.
The reading of the records of April 11, 1990, is dispensed with and the records are approved as prepared by the Clerk.
Claim of Eastern Utilities Co. against the transfer of Class B (Victualer) liquor license of Countryside Deli Inc., 505-507 Armistice Blvd in the amount of $1,560.19 is READ AND ORDERED FILED.
A Public Hearing is held on the following application for license advertised for this time:
CLASS B (Victualer)
Braxton’s Inc (transfer from Countryside Deli Incorporated) 505-507 Armistice Blvd. LIC #146
Speaking in favor is Michael Horan, Attorney, 393 Armistice Blvd., representing the applicant.
Peter and Melissa D’Andrea, principals in Braxton’s Inc. are present.
Mr. D’Andrea states that he has worked for 13 years at hotels in the capacity of general manager of operations.
The hours will be until 10 p.m. weeknights and until 11 p.m. on weekends. The maximum bar seating is 12 stools and he will serve a full menu and will maintain a seating of 110 persons. Mr. D’Andrea states that he is satisfied with the parking arrangements.

Upon Motion made by Councilman Barry, seconded by Councilman Calista, the following application for license is GRANTED on a unanimous voice vote, pending the settlement of outstanding claims:

Speaking in favor is Patricia Hurst, Attorney, 194 Waterman Street, Providence, RI.
John Pedro, President of the Pawtucket Avenue Greek Social Club submits the Articles of Incorporation.
Mr. Pedro states that he will own the license; he ran the social club before and was a bartender there. The Club is not in a primary residential area, and will be promoting sports events. There is a Membership list - will be a true social club mainly for Mediterranean Cultures (Greeks, Portuguese) - there will be no changes in the club - Jim Pappas is leaving.
Speaking in favor is George Barber, 226 Pleasant Street, Pawtucket, RI. Mr. Barber states that he lives next door and there are no problems and it is very quiet.
