A special session of the Pawtucket City Council was held Thursday, July 25 2024, at 5:30 p.m., in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, RI.
Present – President Mercer, Councilors Araujo, Coderre, Moreno, Rubio, Stachowiak and Wildenhain.
Absent – Councilors Gregor and Moran.
President Mercer presided.
1. 591 - Communication from Terrence E. Mercer, Council President, to the Honorable Members of the Pawtucket City Council, calling a special session of the City Council on Wednesday, July 25, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. WAS READ AND ORDERED FILED 
2. 586 - Communication from Elaine Cruz, Acting Chair, Charter Review Commission, to the Honorable Members of the Pawtucket City Council. (Charter Review Commission’s recommended Charter Amendments) WAS READ AND ORDERED FILED 
COUNCILORS MORAN AND GREGOR ARRIVED AT 5:34 PM
The following resolution was APPROVED on a roll call vote, as follows:
AYES – President Mercer, Councilors Araujo, Coderre, Gregor, Moran, Moreno, Rubio Stachowiak and Wildenhain.
NOES – 0.
3. 588 - RESOLUTION TO PLACE ON THE NOVEMBER 5, 2024 BALLOT REFERENDUM TO AMEND THE PAWTUCKET HOME RULE CHARTER – ADD TWO ALTERNATE MEMBERS TO THE PLANNING COMMISSION. 
The following resolution was APPROVED on a roll call vote, as follows:
AYES – President Mercer, Councilors Araujo, Coderre, Gregor, Moran, Moreno, Rubio Stachowiak and Wildenhain.
NOES – 0.
4. 588 - RESOLUTION TO PLACE ON THE NOVEMBER 5, 2024 BALLOT REFERENDUM TO AMEND THE PAWTUCKET HOME RULE CHARTER – CHANGE ALL REFERENCES IN THE PAWTUCKET CITY CHARTER FROM PERSONNEL DIRECTOR TO HUMAN RESOURCES DIRECTOR. 
The following resolution was APPROVED on a roll call vote, as follows:
AYES – President Mercer, Councilors Araujo, Coderre, Gregor, Moran, Moreno, Rubio Stachowiak and Wildenhain.
NOES – 0.
5. 588 - RESOLUTION TO PLACE ON THE NOVEMBER 5, 2024 BALLOT REFERENDUM TO AMEND THE PAWTUCKET HOME RULE CHARTER – ESTABLISHING REPORTING REQUIREMENTS CONCERNING RI DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION APPROVED BUILDING CONSTRUCTION/RENOVATION PROJECTS RELATED TO CITY PUBLIC SCHOOLS. 
Upon motion made by Councilor Araujo, seconded by Councilor Wildenhain, the meeting was adjourned at 5:45 PM.
