SUBJECT: CITY PROPERTY COMMITTEE AND COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MEETING

You are requested to attend a joint meeting of the City Council City Property Committee and Committee of the Whole, to be held on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at 5:30 p.m. in the City Council Office, Room 303, 3^rd floor, City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, RI.

The purpose of this meeting is for discussion and/or consideration of the following:

1. PUBLIC INPUT PERIOD Must Sign-in at City Hall or Join via Zoom 10 minutes prior to meeting

2. UNIFIED HIGH SCHOOL BUILDING COMMITTEE:

a. Communication from Joseph da Silva, Department of Education, to Richard J. Goldstein, MMC, City Clerk (Response – Special School Building Committee)

b. State regulations regarding construction of School Buildings (Page 27 speaks to the composition of the School Building Committee)

c. Section 4-1800 of the City Charter

d. Select provisions of the General Laws regarding School Buildings

e. The article and ordinance regarding the North Providence School Building Committee.

3. UNIFIED HIGH SCHOOL SITE CONTROL:

a. RESOLUTION PROVIDING SITE CONTROL TO THE PAWTUCKET SCHOOL COMMITTEE FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW UNIFIED HIGH SCHOOL IN THE CITY OF PAWTUCKET

This meeting is being called by Council President Terrence E. Mercer and Councilor Marlena Martins Stachowiak, Chair, City Property Committee.
