City Council, May 11, 2022

 

A regular session of the Pawtucket City Council is held Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at 8:02 p.m., in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, RI. 

 

Present – President Moran, Councilors Araujo, Gregor, Mercer, Schuette, Stachowiak, and Wildenhain.

 

Absent – Councilors DaRosa and Vasquez.

 

President Moran presides.

Upon unanimous consent of the council, the following matter is taken up at this time:

 

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A PERMANENT UTILITY EASEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF PAWTUCKET AND THE NARRAGANSETT BAY COMMISSION (NBC) RELATING TO SEWER AND STORMWATER INFRASTRUCTURE TO BE INSTALLED ALONG TAFT STREET; AND THE ABANDONMENT OF AN EXISTING UTILITY EASEMENT BETWEEN THESE PARTIES RELATING TO UTILITY INFRASTRUCTURE CURRENTLY LOCATED BETWEEN DIVISION AND SCHOOL STREETS

 

UPON RECOMMENDATION OF THE CITY PROPERTY COMMITTEE, THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTION IS READ AND PASSED ON A ROLL CALL VOTE, AS FOLLOWS:

RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF BOND LEGISLATION IN THE AMOUNT OF FIFTY THREE MILLION SEVEN HUNDRED NINETY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($53,790,000) FOR THE CONSTRUCTION, IMPROVEMENTS, FURNISHING AND EQUIPPING OF A NEW HIGH SCHOOL AND SCHOOL FACILITIES IN THE CITY OF PAWTUCKET.
