City Council, October 6, 2021

 

A regular session of the Pawtucket City Council is held Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at 8:12 p.m., in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, RI. 

 

Present – President Moran, Councilors Araujo, DaRosa, Gregor, Mercer, Schuette, Vasquez and Wildenhain.

 

Absent – 0.

 

President Moran presides.

 

The reading of the records of the September 22, 2021 City Property Committee meeting, Ordinance Committee meeting and City Council meeting and the September 28, 2021 City Council meeting is dispensed with and the records are APPROVED as prepared by the Clerk.

THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR GREGOR.

 

With majority consent of the Council, the following motion made by Councilor Gregor, seconded by Councilor Schuette, is PASSED on a unanimous voice vote:

 

The Clerk is instructed to send a communication to David Clemente, Director of Public Works and William Vieira, Director of Zoning & Code Enforcement, regarding Angelica Textile Services Inc, 482 Pawtucket Avenue.

 

First, the council is requesting that they have the property cleaned up.

 

Second, after noting that the establishment is moving out, the council is requesting that they find out when it will be closing, and once it is closed that they put up temporary fencing around the property to prevent it from becoming a dumping site.

 

 

 

Upon motion made by Councilor Mercer, seconded by Councilor Schuette, the meeting is adjourned at 8:41 p.m.
