A regular session of the Pawtucket City Council is held Wednesday, May 5, 2021, at 7:53 p.m., via videoconference on ZOOM during the COVID-19 pandemic, per Governor’s Executive Orders up to and including 21-40.

 

Present on ZOOM – President Moran, Councilors Araujo, DaRosa, Mercer, Schuette and Wildenhain.

 

Absent – Councilor Rudd and Vasquez.

 

President Moran presides.

 

The reading of the records of the April 21, 2021 City Property Committee meeting, Finance Committee meeting and City Council meeting is dispensed with and the records are APPROVED as prepared by the Clerk, on a roll call vote, as follows:

The Clerk is instructed to send a communication to Michael Burns, Traffic Engineer, requesting that he contact the business owner of 45 Nye Street regarding damage being caused to private property and to sidewalks from tractor trailers pulling in and out of the loading dock at that location.  The council would like Mr. Burns to determine if there is a way to assist the neighbors by either traffic changes (such as making the street one-way) or by talking to the owner about moving the loading dock to the other side of the building.
