A regular session of the Pawtucket City Council is held Wednesday, May 6, 2020, at 7:00 p.m., via videoconference on ZOOM during the COVID-19 pandemic, per Governor’s order 20-25.

 

Present on ZOOM – President Moran, Councilors Araujo, Barry, Kallman, Mercer, Vasquez, Vitali and Wildenhain.

 

Absent – Councilor Rudd.

 

President Moran presides.

 

 

THE COUNCIL RECESSES IMMEDIATELY TO CONDUCT A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE MUNICIPAL BUDGET AND TO CONDUCT A JOINT MEETING OF THE FINANCE COMMITTEE AND COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE

With majority consent of the Council, the following motion made by Councilor Wildenhain, seconded by Councilors Araujo and  Barry, is PASSED on a unanimous voice vote: 

 

The Clerk is instructed to send a communication to Chief Goncalves, Pawtucket Police Department, and William Vieira, Acting Director, Zoning and Code Enforcement, requesting that they pay particular attention to illegal dumping at the former Salvation Army property on Central Avenue, now that It is closed.

THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR VASQUEZ.

 

With majority consent of the Council, the following motion made by Councilor Vasquez, seconded by Councilors Kallman and Vitali, is PASSED on a unanimous voice vote: 

 

The Ordinance Committee is requested to take up an ordinance to authorize outdoor restaurant service in the city of Pawtucket.

 

 

 

 

Upon motion made by Councilor Barry, seconded by the Entire City Council, the meeting is adjourned at 7:44 p.m., in memory of Captain Carl Benson, a retired member of the Pawtucket Police Department.
