City Council, August 5, 2020
A regular session of the Pawtucket City Council is held Wednesday, August 5, 2020, at 7:33 p.m., via videoconference on ZOOM during the COVID-19 pandemic, per Governor’s order 20-25, 20-46 and 20-53. 
Present on ZOOM – President Moran, Councilors Araujo, Barry, Kallman Mercer, Vasquez, Vitali and Wildenhain.
Absent – Councilor Rudd.
President Moran presides.
The reading of the records of the July 22, 2020 City Council meeting is dispensed with and the records are APPROVED as prepared by the Clerk on a roll call vote, as follows:

The Clerk is instructed to send a communication to Eric J. Earls, PE, Director of Public Works, requesting that the public be notified of how they may dispose of the old trash barrels, now that they have received the new ones. The Council recommends putting the information on the web page or in ads in the paper or in other ways. The Council noted that they are getting several calls from their constituents on this.

The Clerk is instructed to send a communication to Dylan Zelazo, Director of Administration, requesting the administration consider declaring a public emergency regarding the rodent infestation in the city and hiring two or three rodent control companies on an emergency basis for a few months or until the problem is alleviated. The council noted that the problem seems to be more severe this year than in the past.
