City Council, January 23, 2019

 

 

A regular session of the Pawtucket City Council is held Wednesday, January 23, 2019, at 7:37 p.m., in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, RI. 

 

Present – President Moran, Councilors Barry, Kallman, Mercer, Rudd, Vasquez, Vitali and Wildenhain.

 

Absent – Council Araujo.

 

President Moran presides.

 

The reading of the records of the January 7, 2019 (Outgoing Council), January 7, 2019 (Incoming Council) and January 9, 2019 City Council meetings is dispensed with and the records are APPROVED as prepared by the Clerk.

 

Upon motion made by Councilor Mercer, seconded by Councilor Barry, the *Consent Agenda is APPROVED, on a unanimous voice vote.

With majority consent of the Council, the following motion made by Councilor Vasquez, seconded by Councilor Barry, is PASSED on a unanimous voice vote:

 

The Clerk is instructed to send a communication to Eric Earls, Director of Public Works, requesting an update on snow supplies and the snow budget for the remainder of the winter, including how much has been used so far and how much remains for any future storms that may occur this winter.

The Clerk is instructed to send a communication to Dylan Zelazo, Director of Administration and Frank J. Milos, Jr., Esq., City Solicitor, requesting an update on the ongoing firefighter contract arbitration.  They want to know how much the city has spent so far on the arbitration and an update on how close the parties are to reaching a resolution and an agreement on the contract.
