City Council, January 20, 2016

A regular session of the Pawtucket City Council is held Wednesday, January 20, 2016, at 6:56 p.m., in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, RI.

Present – President Moran, Councilors Barry, Bray, Cano, Hodge, Mercer, Rudd, Tetreault and Wildenhain.

Absent – 0

President Moran presides.

The reading of the records of January 6, 2016 is dispensed with and the records are APPROVED as prepared by the Clerk.

Upon motion made by Councilor Hodge, seconded by Councilors Rudd, the *Consent Agenda is APPROVED, on a unanimous voice vote.

The Clerk is instructed to send a communication to Barney S. Heath, Director, Planning and Redevelopment and Herbert Weiss, Economic Development and Cultural Affairs Officer, regarding notification to the Council of businesses interested in Governor Raimondo’s economic development programs. With the recognition that businesses looking to move into Pawtucket may have some confidentiality issues, the Council requested quarterly reports showing the following:

· All businesses already in Pawtucket, which should have no confidentiality issues, that express an interest in one of the three State programs;

· All businesses considering a move into Pawtucket that have gone through the process of applying for one of the programs and no longer have confidentiality issues.
