City Council, October 21, 2015

 

 

A regular session of the Pawtucket City Council is held Wednesday, October 21, 2015, at 7:58 p.m., in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, RI. 

 

Present – President Pro-Tempore Hodge, Councilors Barry, Bray, Mercer, Rudd, Tetreault and Wildenhain.

 

Absent – President Moran and Councilor Cano

 

President Pro-Tempore Hodge presides.

 

The reading of the records of October 7, 2015, is dispensed with and the records are APPROVED as prepared by the Clerk.

 

Upon motion made by Councilor Bray, seconded by Councilor Wildenhain, the *Consent Agenda is APPROVED, on a unanimous voice vote.

THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR WILDENHAIN.

 

With majority consent of the Council, the following motion made by Councilor Wildenhain, seconded by Councilors Mercer and Tetreault, is PASSED on a unanimous voice vote:

 

The Clerk is instructed to send a communication to Michael Burns, Traffic Engineer, requesting that he do a traffic study at that intersection of Perrin Avenue and Hunts Avenue to determine if it would be prudent to install a 4-way stop sign there.   Also, the council would like to know the number of accidents that occurred at or near this intersection over the past twelve months. 

 

 

609   Communication from Christopher Montalto, Engineering Supervisor, Distribution Design, National Grid, to the Pawtucket City Council, requesting a new joint pole at 88 Harris Street, IS READ AND ORDERED FILED AND APPROVED PENDING THE APPROVAL OF THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS.

588   RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A PARKING LICENSE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF PAWTUCKET AND RHODE ISLAND TEXTILE COMPANY.
