City Council, March 31, 2015
A special session of the Pawtucket City Council is held Tuesday, March 31, 2015, at 6:03 p.m., in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, RI.
Present – President Moran, Councilors Barry, Bray, Cano, Hodge, Tetreault and Wildenhain.
Absent – Councilors Mercer and Rudd.
President Moran presides.
THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR HODGE.
Upon motion made by Councilor Hodge, seconded by Councilor Barry, the Council enters into Executive Session at 6:04 p.m. pursuant to §42-46-4 and §42-46-5 (A)(2) of the General Laws of Rhode Island regarding pending litigation, on a roll call vote, as follows:
AYES — President Moran, Councilors Barry, Bray, Cano, Hodge, Tetreault and Wildenhain.
NOES — 0.
The Council discusses the following:
Bristol/Warren Regional School Employees, Local 581, et at. v. Lincoln D. Chafee, et al. (C.A. No. PC 12-3167)
COUNCILOR MERCER ARRIVES AT 6:15 P.M.
The Council returns to open session at 6:40 p.m. on a roll call vote, as follows:
AYES — President Moran, Councilors Barry, Bray, Cano, Hodge, Mercer, Tetreault and Wildenhain.
NOES - 0.
THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR BRAY.
Upon motion made by Councilor Bray, seconded by Councilor Cano, the minutes of the meeting held in executive session are sealed on a roll call vote, as follows:
AYES — President Moran, Councilors Barry, Bray, Cano, Hodge, Mercer, Tetreault and Wildenhain.
NOES - 0.
THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR BARRY.
Upon motion made by Councilor Barry, seconded by Councilors Bray and Hodge, the Council gives authority to Frank J. Milos, Jr., Esq., City Solicitor, to give Marc Desisto the Council’s directions on the proposed settlement of the Bristol/Warren Regional School Employees, Local 581, et at. v. Lincoln D. Chafee, et al. (C.A. No. PC 12-3167) case.
Upon motion made by Councilor Barry, seconded by Councilor Wildenhain, the meeting is adjourned at 6:42 p.m.
