City Council, December 21, 2015

 

 

A regular session of the Pawtucket City Council is held Monday, December 21, 2015, at 5:45 p.m., in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, RI. 

 

Present – President Pro-Tempore Hodge, Councilors Bray, Cano, Mercer, Tetreault and Wildenhain.

 

Absent – President Moran and Councilors Barry and Rudd.

 

President Pro-Tempore Hodge presides.

 

 

THE CITY COUNCIL RECESSES IMMEDIATELY TO CONDUCT A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE FOLLOWING:

 

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF PAWTUCKET TO ENTER INTO A TEN-YEAR TAX STABILIZATION AGREEMENT WITH HOPE ARTISTE VILLAGE PROPRIETOR, LLC FOR THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1005 MAIN STREET (Rear Building n/k/a/ 200 Esten Avenue – Plat 62 Lot 359)

THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR WILDENHAIN.

 

With majority consent of the Council, the following motion made by Councilor Wildenhain, seconded by Councilor Rudd, is PASSED on a unanimous voice vote:

 

The Clerk is instructed to send a communication to Paul King, Chief of Police, informing him that the City Council waived the requirement that Nova Churrasqueira Restaurant, 434 Broadway, hire a detail officer on the day or days during the Christmas holiday which require double time payments to the officers.  The waiving of the police detail is for the Christmas holiday only; they must have their detail officers on the New Year holiday.
