City Council, December 18, 2014

 

 

A regular session of the Pawtucket City Council is held Thursday, December 18, 2014, at 6:18 p.m., in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, RI. 

 

Present – President Moran, Councilors Barros, Hodge, Mercer, Rudd, Tetreault, Vitali and Wildenhain.

 

Absent – Councilor Barry.

 

President Moran presides.

 

 

The reading of the records of December 10, 2014 is dispensed with and the records are APPROVED as prepared by the Clerk.

 

 

Upon motion made by Councilor Hodge, seconded by Councilor Tetreault, the *Consent Agenda is APPROVED, on a unanimous voice vote.

Upon motion made by Councilor Wildenhain, seconded by the Entire City Council, the agenda is amended to include the following resolution:

 

RESOLUTION CONGRATULATING AND THANKING COUNCILOR JEAN PHILIPPE BARROS FOR SIX YEARS OF OUTSTANDING SERVICE TO THE CITIZENS OF PAWTUCKET AS A MEMBER OF THE PAWTUCKET CITY COUNCIL.

Upon motion made by Councilor Mercer, seconded by the Entire City Council, the agenda is amended to include the following resolution:

THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR HODGE.

 

With majority consent of the Council, the following motion made by Councilor Hodge, seconded by Councilor Mercer, is PASSED on a unanimous voice vote:

 

The Clerk is instructed to give Councilor Vitali and Councilor Barros their Council folders and to create new folders for incoming Councilors Bray and Cano.

 

 

THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR VITALI.

 

With majority consent of the Council, the following motion made by Councilor Vitali, seconded by Councilor Barros, is PASSED on a unanimous voice vote:

 

The Clerk is instructed to send a communication to Michael Lewis, Director, RI Department of Transportation, asking when the lights will be fixed on the Route 95 Pawtucket River Bridge.
