City Council, January 7, 2013

 

Mayor-elect Donald R. Grebien, the City Council-elect and the School Committee-elect of the City of Pawtucket for 2013-2015 assemble on Monday, January 7, 2013, at 6:00 p.m. in the Joseph Jenks Junior High School/Jacqueline M. Walsh School for the Performing and Visual Arts Auditorium, 350 Division Street, Pawtucket, Rhode Island, where the Inaugural Exercises are held.

 

Invocation is offered by Reverend Charles Galligan, Pastor, St. Edward's Church and Chaplain of the Pawtucket Fire Department.

 

Pledge of Allegiance is led by Maurice P. Trottier, Pawtucket Veterans Liaison.

 

The National Anthem is sung by Christopher C. Cintron, soloist, Tolman High School Student.

 

Greetings of the United States Congress are offered by Senator Sheldon Whitehouse and Congressman David Cicilline. Greetings of the State of Rhode Island are offered by Governor Lincoln D. Chafee, Attorney General Peter Kilmartin and General Treasurer Gina M. Raimondo.

Upon motion made by Councilor Barry, seconded by Councilor Tetreault, the name of Councilor David P. Moran is placed in nomination for City Council President.

 

Upon motion made by Councilor Wildenhain, seconded by Councilor Mercer, the nominations for City Council President are closed, on a unanimous voice vote.
