A special session of the Pawtucket City Council is held Monday, January 23, 2012, at 6:06 p.m., in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, RI.
Present - President Moran, Councilors Barry, Chadwick, O’Neill, Tetreault and Vitali.
Absent – Councilors Barros, Hodge, and Wildenhain.
President Moran presides.
UPON RECOMMENDATION OF THE FINANCE COMMITTEE, THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTION IS READ AND PASSED ON A ROLL CALL VOTE, AS FOLLOWS:

THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTION, RETURNED BY THE FINANCE COMMITTEE, IS TAKEN UP:
RESOLUTION MEMORIALIZING THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY TO ENACT LEGISLATION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF PAWTUCKET TO ISSUE TAX ANTICIPATION NOTES PAYABLE IN FISCAL YEAR 2013.

With majority consent of the Council, Councilor Barry introduces the following amendment:
Add “$12,600,000” to the title, the “Whereas,” and the “Now, Therefore be it Resolved,” as follows:
RESOLUTION MEMORIALIZING THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY TO ENACT LEGISLATION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF PAWTUCKET TO ISSUE $12,600,000 TAX ANTICIPATION NOTES PAYABLE IN FISCAL YEAR 2012-2013, AS AMENDED.
Whereas, the City Council of the City of Pawtucket endorses and supports the City’s issuance of $12,600,000 tax anticipation notes….
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY OF PAWTUCKET HEREBY MEMORIALIZES THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY TO ENACT LEGISLATION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF PAWTUCKET TO ISSUE $12,600,000 NOTES IN ANTICIPATION OF TAXES TO BE RECEIVED IN FISCAL YEAR 2011-20125, WHICH MAY BE MADE PAYABLE IN FISCAL YEAR 2012-2013.
Upon motion made by Councilor Barry, seconded by Councilors Tetreault and Chadwick, the following amendment is APPROVED on a roll call vote, as follows:
