City Council, January 19, 2011

A regular session of the Pawtucket City Council is held Wednesday, January 19, 2011, at 7:02 p.m., in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, RI.

Present - President Moran, Councilors Barros, Barry, Chadwick, Hodge, Tetreault, Vitali and Wildenhain.

Absent – Councilor O’Neill.

President Moran presides.

The reading of the records of 01/03/2011 outgoing; 01/03/2011 incoming; 01/05/2011 are dispensed with and the records are APPROVED as prepared by the Clerk.

Upon motion made by Councilor Hodge, seconded by Councilors Wildenhain and Chadwick, the *Consent Agenda is APPROVED, on a unanimous voice vote.

With majority consent of the Council, the following motion made by Councilor Barros, seconded by Councilor Vitali, is PASSED on a unanimous voice vote:

The Clerk is instructed to send a communication to Michael D. Lewis, Director, RI Department of Transportation, requesting that he or a representative attend a pre-council session of the City Council on Wednesday, February 9, 2011, to advise the Council if there are any changes in the plans or the process for the Pawtucket Bridge #550 project under the new Chafee administration.

F. Communication from Mayor Donald R. Grebien to the Pawtucket City Council (Response – Outsourcing Firefighters Rescue and Alarm Services) is READ AND ORDERED FILED.

The Clerk is instructed to send a communication to Mayor Grebien requesting that he consider tabling the Request for Proposals for the privatization of fire rescue services.
