A regular session of the Pawtucket City Council is held Wednesday, November 10, 2010, at 7:10 p.m., in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, RI.
Present – Councilors Barros, Barry, Chadwick, Hodge, Moran, Tetreault, Vitali and Wildenhain.
Absent – President Kinch.

The clerk is instructed to send a communication to Mayor James E. Doyle, regarding the new deadline to respond to Ms. Gallogy on the city’s financial situation. The council would like to know what our plan is going to be to eliminate the city’s deficit and if we do not have a plan by the deadline, when do we expect it will be ready?

With majority consent of the Council, the following motion made by Councilor Wildenhain, seconded by Councilor Vitali, is PASSED on a unanimous voice vote:
The clerk is instructed to send a communication to William Mulholland, Superintendent, Pawtucket Parks & Recreation, regarding Councilor Wildenhain’s strong opposition to denying people and organizations the opportunity to volunteer their time to help the city. He believes that eliminating volunteers would hurt the community and therefore, the use of volunteers should not be stopped.

The clerk is instructed to send a communication to William Mulholland, Superintendent, Pawtucket Parks & Recreation, requesting that Mr. Mulholland refrain from sending letters denying anyone the right to volunteer until this matter is heard by the Recreation Committee.
