City Council, January 5, 2009

 

 

The City Council-elect of the City of Pawtucket for 2009-2010 assembles Monday, January 5, 2009, at 6:58 p.m. in the Tolman High School Auditorium, Exchange Street, Pawtucket, Rhode Island, where the Inaugural Exercises are held.

 

Invocation is offered by Reverend Elizeu S. Lima, Embaixadores Church of the Nazarene.

 

Pledge of Allegiance is led by Maurice P. Trottier, Pawtucket Veterans Liaison, and Commander Korean War Veterans, Ocean State Chapter 1.

 

The National Anthem is sung by Pawtucket Police Officer Wallace H. Martin.

 

Greetings of the State of Rhode Island are offered by A. Ralph Mollis, Secretary of State, and Patrick C. Lynch, Attorney General.

Upon motion made by Councilor Chadwick, seconded by Councilor Tetreault, the nominations for City Council President are closed, on a unanimous voice vote.

Upon motion made by Councilor Vitali seconded by Councilor Barros, the nominations for City Council President Pro Tempore are closed, on a unanimous voice vote.
