City Council, February 19, 2009
A special session of the Pawtucket City Council is held Thursday, February 19, 2009, at 5:01 p.m., in the City Council Office, Room 303, City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, RI.
Present – President Kinch, Councilors Barros, Chadwick, Moran, Vitali and Wildenhain.
Absent – Councilors Barry, Hodge and Tetreault.
President Kinch presides.
Also present at this meeting are Mayor James E. Doyle; George L. Kelley, III, Chief of Police; Angel S. Garcia, Director of Personnel; Ronald L. Wunschel, Director of Finance; Robert Brooks, Esq.
Communication from Council President, Henry S. Kinch, Jr., calling a Special Session of the City Council on February 19, 2009, at 5:00 p.m., is READ AND ORDERED FILED.
THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR MORAN.
Upon motion made by Councilor Moran, seconded by Councilor Vitali, the City Council enters into Executive Session at 5:05 p.m. pursuant to Section 42-46-5 (A)(2) of the General Laws of Rhode Island regarding collective bargaining, on a roll call vote, as follows:
Ayes – President Kinch, Councilors Barros, Chadwick, Moran, Vitali and Wildenhain.
Noes – 0.
The Committee discusses the following:
Discussion regarding police collective bargaining agreements.
THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR VITALI.
Upon motion made by Councilor Vitali, seconded by Councilor Chadwick, the Council returns to open session at 5:56 p.m. on a roll call vote, as follows:
AYES – President Kinch, Councilors Barros, Chadwick, Moran, Vitali and Wildenhain
NOES – 0.
