City Council, April 25, 2008
A special session of the Pawtucket City Council is held Friday, April 25, 2008, at 4:05 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, RI.
Present – President Bray, Councilors Barry, Chadwick, Grebien, Hodge, Moran, and Wildenhain.
Absent – Councilors Carr and Kinch.
President Bray presides.
Communication from Council President, Mary E. Bray, calling a Special Session of the City Council on April 25, 2008, at 4:00 p.m., is READ AND ORDERED FILED.
Upon unanimous consent of the Council, the Council enters into Executive Session at 4:08 p.m. pursuant to §42-46-4 and §42-46-5 (A)(2) of the General Laws of the State of Rhode Island regarding pending litigation and/or collective bargaining, on a roll call vote as follows:
AYES – President Bray, Councilors Barry, Chadwick, Grebien, Hodge, Moran, and Wildenhain.
NOES – 0.
Also present for executive session are Harvey E. Goulet, Jr., Director of Administration; Ronald L. Wunschel, Director of Finance; Margaret M. Lynch-Gadaleta, Esq., City Solicitor; Angel S. Garcia, Director of Personnel; and Robert Brooks, Esq.
The Council discusses the following:
Discussion regarding budget deficit alternatives and plans (collective bargaining).
COUNCILOR KINCH ARRIVES AT 4:20 P.M.
COUNCILOR GREBIEN LEAVES AT 5:08 P.M.
Upon motion made by Councilor Barry, seconded by Councilor Wildenhain, the Council reconvenes in open session at 5:18 p.m. on a roll call vote, as follows:
AYES – President Bray, Councilors Barry, Chadwick, Hodge, Kinch, Moran, and Wildenhain.
NOES – 0.
Upon motion made by Councilor Hodge, seconded by Councilor Chadwick, the minutes of the meeting held in executive session are sealed on a roll call vote, as follows:
AYES – President Bray, Councilors Barry, Chadwick, Hodge, Kinch, Moran, and Wildenhain.
NOES – 0.
