City Council, March 8, 2006
A regular session of the Pawtucket City Council is held Wednesday, March 8, 2006, at 7:20 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, RI.
Present – Councilors Barry, Bray, Carr, Clemente, Hodge, Moran, and Vitali.
Absent – President Grebien, Councilor Wildenhain.
President Pro Tempore Moran presides.
The reading of the records of February 22, 2006, is dispensed with and the records are APPROVED as prepared by the Clerk.
Upon motion made by Councilor Hodge, seconded by Councilor Barry, the *Consent Agenda is APPROVED, on a unanimous voice vote.

With majority consent of the Council, the following motion made by Councilor Hodge, seconded by the entire City Council, is PASSED on a unanimous voice vote:
The Clerk is instructed to send a communication to John T. Gannon, Esq., regarding the lease agreement with the Pawtucket School Committee and Lantau Island, Inc. for the former registry building at 286 Main Street. The Council is requesting that he research the City Charter with regard to the specific authority of the School Committee to enter into a purchase agreement for any property in the City or elsewhere; and also; how the purchase price of $5,000,000.00 was determined.
A response is requested in time for the March 22, 2006, Council meeting.
Petition of Pawtucket Red Sox Baseball Club, Inc., for license to conduct Athletic Games (games or exhibitions of Baseball) in McCoy Stadium, Columbus Avenue, on the following Sundays: April 9, 23, May 14, 28, June 11, 25, July 2, 16, 30, August 6, 27, September 3, 10, 17, 24, 2006, LIC#0421M, which was advertised for a hearing at this time, is taken up:
