A regular session of the Pawtucket City Council is held Wednesday, April 7, 2004, at 7:00 P.M. in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, RI.

COUNCILOR HOYAS ARRIVES AT 7:01 P.M.
The SHOW CAUSE HEARING on the following license is CANCELLED due to fire:

Mr. McBurney states that this is a transfer of existing license to a new location. This property has been owned by Kenneth Topalian and his father for more than 30 years.
Mr. Topalian states that the hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Mr. Topalian states that there will be no auto body work at 65 East Street. All auto body work will remain at 370 Pawtucket Avenue.
Mr. Topalian states that the 6 foot high fence will be repaired or replaced. He will be selling approximately 25 to 35 vehicles and has a 5 double bay garage. He states that there will be no auto parts left outside. This new location will decrease the number of vehicles stored at 370 Pawtucket Avenue.
Speaking in opposition is Irene Bernier, 52 East Street. She states she has lived across the street from this location for 45 years.
Ms. Bernier states this location will be a mess just like the previous location. She is opposed.
Councilor Moran assures Ms. Bernier that the Council will watch this business to make sure this property will be kept clean. The location at Pawtucket Avenue is overcrowded and this new location will help this overcrowding.
