January 6, 2003 - Special City Council Session

 

City Council, January 6, 2003

 

The City Council-elect of the City of Pawtucket for 2003-2004 assembles Monday, January 6, 2003, at 6:00 p.m. at Tolman High School Auditorium, Exchange Street, Pawtucket, Rhode Island, where the Inaugural Exercises are held.

 

Invocation is offered by Wiilliam Locke, Rector of St. Paul’s  Church in Pawtucket.

 

Pledge of Allegiance is led by Al Lourenco, City Sergeant, and a Veteran of the 2nd World War, serving as a Corporal in the Army-Air Force.

 

The National anthem is sung by Ms. Shaudeh  Price

Upon motion made by Councilor Clemente, seconded by Councilor Bray, the name of Councilor John J. Barry, III, is placed in nomination for City Council President.

 

Upon motion made by Councilor Carr, seconded by Councilor Hoyas, the nominations for City Council President are closed.

Upon motion made by Councilor Moran, seconded by Councilor Hoyas, the nominations for City Council President Pro Tempore are closed.
