City Council, October 24, 2002
A special session of the Pawtucket City Council is held Thursday, October 24, 2002, at four fifty o’clock p.m., in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, RI.
Present – President Barry, Councilors Bray, Carr, Hodge, Hoyas, and Wildenhain.
Absent –Councilors Clement, Grebien and Moran.
President Barry presides.
THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR BRAY.
Upon motion made by Councilor Bray, seconded by Councilor Hoyas, the City Council enters into executive session at four fifty-one o’clock p.m., pursuant to Section 42-46-5 (A)(2) of the General Laws of Rhode Island regarding pending litigation on a roll call vote, as follows:
AYES - President Barry, Councilors Bray, Carr, Hodge, Hoyas, and Wildenhain.
NOES – 0
Decision regarding City of Pawtucket Water Treatment Plant.
COUNCILOR CLEMENTE ARRIVES AT FOUR FIFTY-TWO O’CLOCK P.M.
THE COUNCIL RETURNS TO OPEN SESSION AT FIVE FORTY-FIVE O’CLOCK P.M.
THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR BRAY.
Upon motion made by Councilor Bray, seconded by Councilor Clemente, the minutes of the City Council meeting held in executive session are sealed on a roll call vote, as follows:
AYES - President Barry, Councilors Bray, Carr, Clemente, Hodge, Hoyas, and Wildenhain.
NOES – 0

With majority consent of the Council, the following motion made by Councilor Bray, seconded by Councilor Wildenhain, is PASSED on a roll call vote as follows:
AYES - President Barry, Councilors Bray, Carr, Clemente, Hodge, Hoyas, and Wildenhain.
NOES - 0.
BASED UPON THE CLARIFICATION GIVEN BY JUSTICE DARIGAN ON THE ISSUE OF RATIFICATION THE COUNCIL FOREGOES THE APPEAL OF THE DECISION REGARDING THE CITY OF PAWTUCKET WATER TREATMENT PLANT.
COUNCIL PRESIDENT BARRY SCHEDULES A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL TO BE HELD WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 30, 2002, AT 5:30 P.M., TO DETERMINE WHETHER OR NOT TO RATIFY THE SELECTION OF EARTHTECH BY THE PAWTUCKET WATER SUPPLY BOARD AND PURCHASING BOARD IN SELECTING A VENDOR FOR THE WATER FILTRATION PLANT.
Upon motion made by Councilor Hodge, seconded by Councilor Clemente, the meeting is adjourned at five fifty o’clock p.m.
