City Council, November 18, 2002

 

A special session of the Pawtucket City Council is held Monday, November 18, 2002, at five ten o’clock p.m., in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, RI. 

 

Present – President Barry, Councilors Bray, Carr, Clemente, Grebien, Hodge, Hoyas, Moran and Wildenhain.

 

Absent – 0

 

President Barry presides.

 

THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR HODGE.

 

Upon motion made by Councilor Hodge, seconded by Councilor Grebien, the City Council enters into executive session at five ten o’clock p.m., pursuant to Section 42-46-5 (a)(2) of the General Laws of Rhode Island regarding pending litigation and §42-46-5(a)(7) regarding the question of the investment of public funds where the premature disclosure would adversely affect the public interest on a roll call vote, as follows:

 

AYES - President Barry, Councilors Bray, Carr, Clemente, Grebien, Hodge, Hoyas, Moran, and Wildenhain.

 

NOES – 0

 

Discuss issues pertaining to litigation and/or to discuss a matter related to the question of the investment of public funds regarding awarding the contract for the Water Treatment Plant Facility.

 

THE COUNCIL RETURNS TO OPEN SESSION AT SIX THIRTY FOUR O’CLOCK P.M.

 

591      Communication from Council President, John J. Barry, III, calling a Special Session of the City Council on Monday, November 18, 2002, at 5:00 p.m., is READ AND ORDERED FILED.

 

THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR HODGE.

 

Upon motion made by Councilor Hodge, seconded by Councilor Grebien, the minutes of the City Council meeting held in executive session are sealed on a unanimous voice vote as follows:

 

AYES - President Barry, Councilors Bray, Carr, Clemente, Grebien, Hodge, Hoyas, Moran, and Wildenhain.

 

NOES – 0

 

Upon motion made by Councilor Wildenhain, seconded by Councilor Hoyas, the meeting is adjourned at six thirty-five o’clock p.m.
