City Council, June 6, 2001
A regular session of the Pawtucket City Council is held Wednesday, June 6, 2001, at eight eight o’clock p.m., in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, RI.
Present – President Barry, Councilors Bray, Carr, Clemente, Grebien, Hodge, Hoyas, and Moran.
Absent – Councilor Wildenhain.
President Barry presides.

Petition for a Second Hand Shop License (Class C - Used Miscellaneous Merchandise) of Ronald J. Gobin, Jr. d/b/a Ye Olde Stuff, (Previous location 150 Benefit Street) 726 Central Avenue, Tax Assessor’s Plat 10, Lot 552, to keep a shop for the purpose of purchasing and selling second hand articles, specifically: antiques, LIC# 40270, which was advertised for a hearing at this time, is taken up:
Speaking is favor is Ronald J. Gobin, Jr., Applicant.
Councilor Wildenhain questions why Mr. Gobin has been open for business without a license.
Mr. Gobin states that his mother is sharing a portion of this business and she has been selling arts & crafts items. These are only new items.
The hours of operation will be Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
Mr. Gobin states that the previous location on Benefit Street was not suitable as a retail outlet, it was more of a storage facility.
Councilor Wildenhain states that there is to be absolutely nothing placed on the sidewalk.
