City Council, September 6, 2000
A regular session of the Pawtucket City Council is held Wednesday, September 6, 2000, at eight o’clock p.m., in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, RI.
Present – President Barry, Councilors Bray, Carr, Clemente, Grebien, Hodge, Moran, and Wildenhain.
Absent – Councilor Hoyas.
President Barry presides.
The reading of the records of August 23, 2000, is dispensed with and the records are APPROVED as prepared by the Clerk.
Upon motion made by Councilor Bray, seconded by Councilor Hodge, the *Consent Agenda is APPROVED, on a unanimous voice vote.

Petition of Dehancy M. Barney d/b/a Menyongai Use Store for a license to conduct a Second Hand Shop License Class C, at 593 Main Street, Tax Assessor’s Plat 53, Lot 216, to keep a shop for the purpose of purchasing and selling second hand articles, specifically: used furniture and appliances, LIC# 40262, which was advertised for a hearing at this time, is taken up:
Speaking in favor is Mr. Barney, husband of the Applicant.
Mr. Barney states that they will be selling used furniture and appliances.
Mr. Barney states that they have 5 years experience in this type of business and will be open from 8:00 a.m. until 7:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday. All items will be inside the store, and nothing will be outside.

The Council further requests that the meetings be held at a time conducive to allow working people to attend.
