All members of the Planning Commission, except the Chairperson of said Commission, shall receive a monthly stipend of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) One Hundred Twenty Dollars ($120.00) per meeting, for each meeting attended, for services rendered in their capacity as Planning Commission members, not totaling more than One Thousand Two Hundred Dollars ($1,200.00) One Thousand Four Hundred Forty Dollars ($1,440.00) annually.

 

SECTION 2.   Amount of Stipend for Chairperson. The Chairperson of the Planning Commission shall receive a monthly stipend of One Hundred Twenty Dollars ($120.00) One Hundred Forty Dollars ($140.00) per meeting, for each meeting attended, for services rendered in his or her capacity as Chairperson of the Planning Commission, not totaling more than One Thousand Four Hundred Forty Dollars ($1,440.00) One Thousand Six Hundred Eighty Dollars ($1,680.00) annually.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 2465 OF THE ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PAWTUCKET, ALSO KNOWN AS SECTION 88-29 OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PAWTUCKET, 1996, ESTABLISHING A SALARY FOR THE MEMBERS OF THE ZONING BOARD OF REVIEW.

 

THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR CLEMENTE.

 

With majority consent of the Council, Councilor Clemente introduces the following amendment to the above entitled ordinance:

 

Change the following in Section 1 and Section 2:

 

AMOUNT OF STIPEND FOR BOARD MEMBERS

 

All members of the Board of Review, except the Chairperson shall receive a monthly stipend of Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00) Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00) One Hundred Fifty Dollars ($150.00) per meeting, for each meeting attended, for services rendered in their capacity as Board of Review members, not totaling more than Two Thousand Four Hundred Dollars ($2,400.00) Three Thousand Six Hundred Dollars ($3,600.00) annually.

 

AMOUNT OF STIPEND FOR CHAIRPERSON

 

The Chairperson of the Board of Review shall receive a monthly stipend of One Hundred Sixty Dollars ($160.00) per meeting, for each meeting attended, for services rendered in his or her capacity as Chairperson of the Board of Review, not totaling more than Three Thousand Eight Hundred Forty Dollars ($3,840.00) annually.

 

SECTION 2.   This ordinance shall take effect November 1, 2000 January 1, 2001.

 

THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR HOYAS.

 

With majority consent of the Council, Councilor Hoyas submits a further amendment to increase the salary of the Chairperson of the Zoning Board of Review to the following:

 

One Hundred Eighty Dollars ($180.00) per meeting, for each meeting attended, not totaling more than Four Thousand Three Hundred Twenty Dollars ($4,320.00) annually.

 

Upon motion made by Councilor Clemente, seconded by Councilor Wildenhain, the following amendment to the ordinance entitled “AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 2465 OF THE ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PAWTUCKET, ALSO KNOWN AS SECTION 88-29 OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PAWTUCKET, 1996, ESTABLISHING A SALARY FOR THE MEMBERS OF THE ZONING BOARD OF REVIEW” is PASSED on a roll call vote, as follows:
