A special session of the Pawtucket City Council is held Tuesday, August 31, 1999, at five thirteen o’clock p.m., in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, RI. 

 

Present – President Barry, Councilors Bray, Carr, Clemente, Grebien, Hodge, Hoyas, Moran, and Wildenhain.

 

Absent – 0.

 

President Barry presides.

 

591      Communication from Council President, John J. Barry, III, calling a Special Session of the City Council on Tuesday, August 31, 1999 at 5:00 p.m., is READ AND ORDERED FILED.

 

The following resolution is read and PASSED on a roll call vote, as follows:

 

AYES - President Barry, Councilors Bray, Carr, Clemente, Grebien, Hodge, Hoyas, Moran, and Wildenhain.

 

NOES - 0.

 

588      RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF PAWTUCKET AND THE WATER SUPPLY BOARD WAIVING ALL ANNUAL HYDRANT FEES CHARGED TO THE CITY OF PAWTUCKET.

 

The following ordinance is read for the second time and PASSED on a roll call vote, as follows:

 

AYES - President Barry, Councilors Bray, Carr, Clemente, Grebien, Hodge, Moran, and Wildenhain.

 

NOES – Councilor Hoyas.

 

330      AN ORDINANCE IN AMENDMENT OF ARTICLE VIII OF CHAPTER 88 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PAWTUCKET, ENTITLED, “SCHOOL COMMITTEE,” (Compensation) AS AMENDED.

 

The following license is APPROVED on a unanimous voice vote:

 

Petition of Institute for Labor Studies & Research for a license to conduct a RI Labor & Ethnic Heritage Festival at Slater Mill Complex, Roosevelt Avenue, on Sunday, September 5, 1999, from 12 Noon until 6:00 p.m., LIC# 1325M

 

Upon motion made by Councilor Bray, seconded by Councilor Hodge, the meeting is adjourned at five sixteen o’clock p.m.
