A regular session of the City Council is held Wednesday, February 25, 1998, at eight three o’clock p.m. All the members are present and President Barry presides.
The reading of the records of February 11, 1998, is dispensed with and the records are approved as prepared by the Clerk.
Upon motion made by Councilor Vieira, seconded by Councilor Hodge, the *Consent Agenda is approved on a unanimous voice vote.

THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTION IS REFERRED TO THE FINANCE COMMITTEE:

The Clerk is instructed to send a communication to Ronald Travers, Director of Zoning and Code Enforcement, regarding the property behind Building 19 on Beverage Hill Avenue, which is being used by Ryder Transportation Company to store its buses. The Council would like to know if that department has received complaints and/or concerns from the neighbors in the vicinity of this business, and if so, what action was taken.

The Clerk is instructed to have a communication hand delivered Thursday morning to Dr. Hans Dellith, Superintendent of Schools, requesting that a minimum of five to six parking spaces be made available at Fallon School, as close as possible to the door which leads to the principal’s office, to allow ready access to the voters at the special election to be held on Tuesday, March 3, 1998.

*STIPULATIONS:
1. No storage of bumpers outside of the existing building will be permitted, however the following exceptions will be allowed:
a) A maximum of 1-3 racks containing up to 225 bumpers may be placed next to the building in the area of the loading dock in the southwest corner of the building until such time as an additional storage unit is approved by the City Council and at which time these racks and bumpers would need to be enclosed in the new storage unit with absolutely no outside storage of bumpers thereafter.
b) All bumpers must be moved inside the building within 48 clock hours of delivery.
c) All bumpers currently stored outside must be removed within 30 days.
2. Deliveries of bumpers and trash removal will be allowed only during the hours of 7:00 am - 7:00 pm.
3. No work may be performed outside of the building with the exception of the unloading, sorting and loading of bumpers during normal business hours.
4. The grounds of the property will be cleaned and maintained and all debris from building renovations, surplus wood, racks, and unused vehicles and trucks shall be removed within 30 days.
5. All emissions from the building must be properly controlled in accordance with all applicable regulations.
6. No buildings or structures of any kind may be erected on the property without prior City Council approval.

If this information is not available to the public, the Council would like to know the reason it is not.

With majority consent of the Council, Councilor Vieira introduces the following resolution:

Councilor Vieira also requests that the Clerk inform the Pawtucket Delegation of the results of the poll taken of all the Class A liquor license holders in Pawtucket, and also the opposition to the legislation as stated by the Vice President of the R.I. Liquor Store Association, who is also a license holder in Pawtucket.
