City Council, January 5, 1998.

 

A special session of the City Council is held Monday, January 5, 1998, at four ten o=clock p.m.   All the members are present except Councilors Butler, Cute and Doyle; President Barry presides.

 

Communication from Council President John J. Barry, III, calling a final session of the 1996-1997 Pawtucket City Council for Monday, January 5, 1998, at 4:00 PM is READ AND ORDERED FILED.

 

The following resolution is read and PASSED on a roll call vote, as follows:

 

Ayes - President Barry, Councilors Bray, Hodge, Moran, Rabbitt and Vieira.

 

Noes - 0.

 

RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING UNFINISHED BUSINESS TO THE NEW CITY COUNCIL OF 1998-1999.

 

THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR HODGE.

 

With majority consent of the Council, the following motion made by Councilor Hodge, seconded by the entire City Council, is PASSED on a unanimous voice vote:

 

The Clerk is instructed to prepared a resolution recognizing and applauding the work of City Clerk RICHARD J. GOLDSTEIN, CMC/AAE.

 

Upon motion made by Councilor Vieira, seconded by Councilor Moran, the meeting is adjourned at four fifteen o=clock p.m.
