The Clerk is instructed to send a communication to Mayor Robert E. Metivier, requesting that he express the Council’s concerns with the list of substandard housing units prepared by Frank Rendine. The Council is asking that the Mayor instruct Mr. Rendine to review that list again, and include the following information on each property:
1. Taxes owed
2. Number of previous violations
3. Any current violations
4. The status of current violations
5. The city’s plan to take care of each building

Mr. Druan states that he is located in an industrial area. He will be repairing motorcycles and selling motorcycles and parts. Testdrives are done along the property, not near the residential area, which should not add to the noise problem.
Mr. Druan states that he worked in Providence at a cycle shop for 5 years.
The Hours will be from 9:00 am - 6:00 pm Weekdays and from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm on Saturdays.
He states that he understands the concerns of the neighbors.
Speaking in favor is Al Elkin, 102 Fowler Avenue, Pawtucket, RI.
Mr. Elkin is the owner of the property. He states that the applicants have done a lot of work on property. The houses are far enough away, so they won’t be disturbed by noise.
Mr. Elkin agrees to attend neighborhood meetings if there are problems.
Speaking in opposition is John Marques, 320 Rhode Island Avenue, Pawtucket, RI.
Mr. Marques is concerned about the operating hours and doesn’t want loitering after hours.

Mr. Weinberg states that he owns the property adjacent to Chips, now leased by Gold’s Gym.
He is concerned about parking in his lot. He states that this is not a good area for a flea market. He is unsure if the owner of Chips has given approval for the Flea Market.
Speaking in opposition is Franklin Sorel, 281 Lafayette Street, Pawtucket, RI.
Mr. Sorel states that the flea market will add a lot of traffic to the area and will cause problems for the shopping center. Also, he believes that the flea market will cause problems for Police and Fire. There is no parking in the area, except on the street. He believes that the flea market will cheapen the neighborhood.
Speaking in opposition is Sergeant John Monteiro, 288 Lafayette Street, Pawtucket, RI.
Sgt. Monteiro states that there is no parking except on the street or in the hospital lot.
He states that other businesses already overflow their lots.
