City Council, January 1, 1996.

A special session of the City Council is held Monday, January 1, 1996, at eleven twenty-five o’clock p.m. All the members are present except Councilors Demopulos and Kinder and President Barry presides.

591      Communication from Council President John J. Barry, III, calling a final session of the 1994-1995 Pawtucket City Council for Monday, January 1, 1996, at 11:20 AM is READ AND ORDERED FIELD.

The following resolution is read and passed on a roll call vote, as follows:

Ayes - President Barry, Councilors Bray, Doyle, Hodge, Moran, Rabbitt and Vieira.

Noes - 0.

588      RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING UNFINISHED BUSINESS TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF 1996-1997.

Upon motion made by Councilor Vieira, seconded by Councilor Rabbitt, the meeting is adjourned at eleven thirty O’clock p.m.

The City Council-elect of the City of Pawtucket for 1996-1997 assembles Monday, January 1, 1996, at twelve twenty-seven o’clock p.m. at Jenks Junior High School, Division Street, Pawtucket, RI, where the Inaugural Exercises are held.

Invocation is offered by Reverend John A. Kiley, St. Leo the Great Parish, Pawtucket, RI.

Pledge of Allegiance is led by Richard J. Goldstein, CMC, City Clerk.

The National anthem is sung by Laurence Dolan.

The Honorable Patrick F. Kennedy, Congressman from the First District in Rhode Island, reads the Certificate of Election of Mayor-elect Robert E. Metivier.
