City Council, June 22, 1993
A Special Session of the City Council is held Tuesday, June 22, 1993, at seven five o’clock p.m. in the City Council Chamber. All the members are present except Councilors Doyle, Kinder and Rabbitt; President Barry presides.

The following ordinance is taken up:
ANNUAL OPERATING BUDGET ORDINANCE 1993-1994
THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR CALISTA.
The Motion by Councilor Calista, seconded by Councilor Rabbitt, to Amend the Budget by restoring the funding to the Blackstone Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Rhode Island League of Cities and Towns is DEFEATED on a Roll Call Vote, as follows:
Ayes – Councilors Calista and Rabbitt.
Noes – Council President Barry, Councilors Bray, Clement, Doyle, Moran and Vieira.
THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR RABBITT.
The Motion by Councilor Rabbitt, seconded by Councilor Calista, to Amend the Budget by restoring the funds under line item 1100 of the City Hall Maintenance budget for the position of the Part Time Switchboard Operator is DEFEATED on a roll call vote, as follows:
Ayes – Councilor Rabbitt.
Noes – Council President Barry, Councilors Bray, Calista, Clement, Doyle, Moran and Vieira.

THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILOR DOYLE.
The Motion made by Councilor Doyle, seconded by Councilor Vieira, to add $124,000 in additional Housing Aid and $498,500 in additional state aid to the School budget is Laid on the Table pending a final vote on the State budget.
Upon Motion made by Councilor Vieira, seconded by Councilor Clement, the meeting is adjourned at eight fifty three o’clock p.m.
