City Council, May 13, 1991.

A special session of the City Council is held Monday, May 13, 1991, at four thirty-four o’clock p.m. All the members are present and President Houle presides.

The Council recesses immediately to conduct a Public Hearing on the following:

ORDINANCE IN AMENDMENT OF CHAPTER 2140 OF THE ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PAWTUCKET ENTITLED "THE ANNUAL OPERATING BUDGET ORDINANCE, 1990-1991."

The Council reconvenes at four thirty-nine o’clock p.m.

591      Communication from Council President Raymond W. Houle, Jr., calling a Special Session of the City Council for Monday, May 13, 1991, at 4:30 p.m. is READ AND ORDERED FILED.

THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILMAN BARRY.

With majority consent of the Council, the following Motion made by Councilman Barry, seconded by Councilmen Kinder and Calista, is passed on a unanimous voice vote:

Jan Companies d/b/a Burger King, 91 Cedar Street, First Class Victualling House License #91 is extended until September 30, 1991.

The following Ordinance is read for the first time and passed on a Roll Call Vote, as follows:

Ayes - President Houle, Councilmembers Barry, Calista, Kinder, Robert Lynch, Rabbitt, and Vieira. Noes - Councilmen Doyle and William Lynch

Ordinance in Amendment of Chapter 2140 of the Ordinances of the City of Pawtucket Entitled "The Annual Operating Budget Ordinance, 1990-1991."

The following Ordinance is read for the first time and passed on a Roll Call Vote, as follows:

Ayes - President Houle, Councilmembers Barry, Calista, Doyle, Kinder, Robert Lynch, William Lynch, Rabbitt, and Vieira. Noes - 0.

Ordinance in Amendment of Chapter 2180 Establishing a Maximum Number of Liquor Licenses within the City of Pawtucket.

The following Ordinance is read for the first time and passed on a Roll Call Vote, as follows:

Ayes - President Houle, Councilmembers Barry, Calista, Doyle, Kinder, Robert Lynch, William Lynch, Rabbitt, and Vieira.

Noes - 0.

Ordinance Authorizing the Director of Finance, in his Capacity as City Treasurer and Collector of Taxes, to grant a Discount on the Payment of Taxes in 1991.

Upon Motion made by Councilman Barry, seconded by Councilman Kinder, the meeting is adjourned at five one o’clock p.m.
