A special session of the City Council is held Tuesday, July 16, 1991, at three fifteen o’clock p.m. All the members are present except Councilmen Robert Lynch, William Lynch and President Houle presides.

Ordinance Amending Chapter 2174 of the Ordinances of the City of Pawtucket, Fixing the Salaries of Heads of Department and other Officers of the City of Pawtucket. (Animal Control Officers)
The following ordinance is read for the first time and passed on a roll call vote, as follows:

With majority consent of the Council, Councilman Barry requests that the Ordinance Amending Chapter 2145 of the Ordinances of the City of Pawtucket Entitled "An Ordinance Fixing the Salaries of Heads of Departments and Other Officers of the City of Pawtucket and Repealing Chapter 2086 BE AMENDED TO READ AS FOLLOWS:
Ordinance Amending Chapter 2174 of the Ordinances of the City of Pawtucket Entitled "An Ordinance Fixing the Salaries of Heads of Departments and Other Officers of the City of Pawtucket and Repealing Chapter 2145.
Upon Motion made by Councilman Barry, seconded by Councilman Vieira, the following amendment to the Ordinance Amending Chapter 2145 of the Ordinances of the City of Pawtucket Entitled "An Ordinance Fixing the Salaries of Heads of Departments and Other Officers of the City of Pawtucket and Repealing Chapter 2086, is passed on a roll call vote, as follows:
Ayes - President Houle, Councilmembers Barry, Calista, Doyle, Kinder, William Lynch, Rabbitt and Vieira.

With majority consent of the Council, the following Motion made by Councilman Kinder, seconded by Councilman Rabbitt, is passed on a unanimous voice vote:
The Clerk is instructed to send a communication to Frank Rendine, Director Zoning and Code Enforcement and Gerald Pouliot, Assistant City Solicitor, requesting that they attend a Claims Committee Meeting scheduled on July 24, 1991, to discuss sewer back-ups.
THE CHAIR RECOGNIZES COUNCILMAN KINDER.
Upon Motion made by Councilman Kinder, seconded by Councilman Barry, the veterinary services at the Slater Park Zoo by Dr. Finocchio are extended until September and then go to bidding for future services should take place.
