Director of Extended Learning Opportunity Program
DIRECTOR OF EXTENDED LEARNING OPPORTUNITY PROGRAM
QUALIFICATIONS: Rhode Island Certification
REPORTS TO: Assistant Superintendent/Building Administrator
SUPERVISES: Extended Learning Opportunity Program
JOB GOALS: To provide every student in the district with an opportunity to use vacation time in a productive and meaningful program of remedial or enrichment experiences.
EVALAUTION: Performance of this job will be evaluated by Assistant Superintendent and Building Principals.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Organize the Extended Learning Opportunity Program curriculum for all grade levels in consultation with appropriate members of staff, faculty and agencies.
2. Assist in the recruitment of staff for the program.
3. Assume responsibility for attendance accounting and submits enrollment and attendance reports.
4. Makes classroom visits for administrative and supervisory purposes.
5. Prepare the Extended Learning Opportunity Program schedule and assume responsibility for registration and assignment of students.
6. Report and certify to proper authorities the grades achieved by Extended Learning Opportunity Program students.
7. Prepare and maintain required records/reports.
8. Prepare and oversee dissemination of publicity (brochure, newspaper ads) and information concerning Extended Learning Opportunity Program.
9. Prepare and administer the Extended Learning Opportunity Program operating budget.
10. Prepare a report of the program to the Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent.
11. Other duties as assigned and determined by the Superintendent or his/her designee.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
$3,000 Salary
